Indian Motorcycle will introduce the blacked-out, stripped down – 2018 Indian Scout Bobber in the country. Official bookings for the bike have already been commenced across the nation.
Scout Bobber Design Features
Sporting subtle aesthetic updates over the regular Scout, the new Indian Scout Bobber appears more muscular and aggressive. Designing elements such as chopped fenders, slightly shroud headlamp, dual-tone genuine leather bobber seat with new “Scout” badge marks, new engine covers, knobby tyres and bar-end mirrors contribute to its stripped down look.
There is lots of matte-black treatment all over the body. The company is also offering a custom pillion seat with the bike. The fuel tank badge is all-new with bold block lettering on it. The bike gets blacked-out exhaust shields and new tracker handlebars and footpegs, which have been sifted 38mm rearwards to the new cartridge forks up front. Compared to the regular Indian Scout, the Scout Bobber has more streamlined riding position – thanks to its new suspension unit and raised seat height. The company will also offer a pack of accessories on the cruiser that will include mid-rise handlebars, premium leather passenger seat, saddle bags, a short windshield and slip-on exhausts.

Powering the new Scout Bobber is the same 1131 cc, v-twin engine that does duty in the standard Scout. This unit is capable of making a top power of 100bhp against 97.7Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Delivering power to the wheels is a 6-speed gearbox.
This new Indian cruiser will come in a choice of five paint schemes – Thunder Black, Bronze Smoke, Star Silver Smoke, Indian Motorcycle Red and Thunder Black Smoke.
Compared to other Scout motorcycles, the 2018 Indian Scout Bobber sits one inch lower and has lower suspension setup. The bike features 120mm telescopic fork front and 50mm dual shocks rear suspension unit. The braking system remains unchanged – i.e. single 298mm Rotor/ 2 (front) and 1 (rear) Piston calliper.
